Company to Showcase Solution for 1st Responders Dramatically Reducing the Time to Action for Disaster Relief Command and Control

NORTH VERNON, IN -- (Marketwired) -- 11/17/14 -- WindStream Technologies (OTCQB: WSTI), a company established to create low-cost hybrid, renewable energy solutions for urban, suburban, and on and off-grid environments, today announced that it will be exhibiting its renewable energy solution for 1st responders in Command and Control situations in the wake of a disaster, the MobileMill™. The MobileMill™ was designed and built by the Company for the Indiana Department of Homeland Security. WindStream will occupy Booth 1939, where it will also showcase its SolarMill® scalable, renewable energy generation device.

MobileMill™, the first of its kind renewable energy powered Command Center for 1st responders dramatically reduces the time of onsite setup to action, with a 60-second deployment and 4KW's of on demand generation capability. With redundant energy generation using wind, solar, gen set and grid (when available), the MobileMill™ can continuously charge an 18KW battery array providing continuous power to a command center environment. Designed for emergency relief the technology can be adapted for a myriad of other uses. The MobileMill™ is the world's first renewable energy trailer.

Dan Bates, President and Chief Executive Officer of WindStream, said, "The residents of New Jersey, more than most people after Superstorm Sandy, have an appreciation for the immense amount of hardship that a natural disaster can cause as they struggle to put their lives back together. Without a command center with its own power, there is no organization to the relief efforts. Our MobileMill™ not only provides that power, it does so with clean, renewable energy and dramatically reduces the time that aid can get to those affected, potentially saving lives. We look forward to showing our technology to the people who have on-the-ground responsibility for disaster relief, the men and women of the New Jersey League of Municipalities."

The company will also showcase its SolarMill®, the world's most complete renewable energy generation device. Instead of a footprint dedicated to harnessing a single renewable resource, WindStream Technologies' engineers have designed and patented a unique set of vertical axis wind turbines, added tier 1 quality solar panels, and an integrated electronics package, to create a hybrid device with the highest energy density in the market.
